How do I get API access to Agentic OS?
Overview
Agentic OS, formerly mentorAI, has an API (a way for your own code to connect to it) for working with agents and their datasets. To get access, email aihelp@syr.edu from your Syracuse account with your NetID and a short description of what you plan to build.
Request access
Email aihelp@syr.edu from your Syracuse account. Include your NetID and a short description of what you plan to build.
Once you have access, make a key:
Open your agent's Edit Agent screen and go to Integrations > API.
Scroll down and select Create New. Give the key a name and choose when it expires.
Copy your key as soon as it appears. You won't see it again. Don't share it, and don't put it in browser code or in code you upload, such as a GitHub repository. IBL may replace a key that leaks publicly.
Additional information
- Your key is personal: only you see it, and only when you create it. Anyone who opens the API tab can see who made each key, but not the keys themselves.
- Your key works as your account: it can reach what you can in Agentic OS, so treat it like a password.

- The Responsible AI Guidelines (opens in a new tab) apply to anything you build. Check them before you send student records or other confidential University data through the API.
